Here are some of our basic rental policies to help you in planning your home stay in one of the beautiful homes of the Doug Mayberry Property Management, PLLC collection. A detailed explanation of our policies is contained in your Property Rental Agreement.
We will make every effort to accommodate your arrival and departure times. Our normal arrival time is 3:00 PM and departure is 10:30 AM. If you are arriving during our regular business hours of 8 AM-6 PM, one of our guest hosts will personally greet you at the property, show you around the home, and provide you with answers to any questions you may have. If you are arriving outside of our office hours, we will make advance arrangements for your arrival and visit with you the following day.
If you are arriving by air, the travel time from the Key West International Airport to your vacation stay by cab will be about 20 minutes. Should you elect to drive from Miami, the drive time is approximately four hours. We’re very proud our Overseas Highway from the mainland to Key West has just been designated as one of 31 All-American Roads; roads that have natural features and are scenic enough to be tourist destinations unto themselves. Enjoy your drive!
Before you decide to drive to Key West, please keep in mind parking can be very limited and our streets sometimes congested. The best way to enjoy your visit is to walk or rent a bicycle. Those means ensure permit you to take full advantage of our beautiful climate, historic architecture and interesting people.
For your comfort and safety, occupancy is limited to the number of permitted adults as shown in the information for each property. In every property, guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also occupying the property.
We want your stay with us to be as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Upon your arrival, you will find a complimentary bottle of wine, bottled water and light snacks to help ease you in to your vacation. Please visit our Concierge page for any special needs you may have.
We love our pets here in Key West and some of our properties do accept them as our guests. We will be pleased to discuss your needs in this matter individually.
We accept most major credit cards, cash, personal check and money order. Payments must be received in full 60 days prior to your arrival. Security deposits will be promptly refunded within 15 days after your departure.
Should you find it necessary to cancel your stay with us, we will refund your entire payment if you cancel 60 days or more before your arrival. If you cancel within 60 days of your arrival, we will return your payment in full provided we are able to rent the property out to another party. There is NO cancellation fee.
And what about the unspeakable? Yes, we rarely do get inclement weather, especially during the months of June through November. Should a hurricane evacuation notice be issued by the Monroe County Emergency folks, we will refund your payment based on the length of your stay. If you are staying in a vacation rental of seven days or less, and there is an evacuation order during your stay, you will receive a full refund of your payment. If you are staying eight days or more, such as a monthly rental, your refund will be prorated for the number of unused days. This policy is unusual in our industry. We believe its bad enough to disrupt your vacation and we want you to come back to visit us another time.
